Medyx.ai is building an ultra-secure SaaS platform for medical image de-identification and integration with AI service providers, enabling healthcare organizations to adopt AI innovations while maintaining compliance and data security.

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the development of our SaaS platform. This position offers a unique opportunity for an expert in software architecture and distributed systems to shape the core technology of a startup poised to have a transformative impact on global healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the software architecture for the core SaaS platform.
  • Define and enforce best practices for software development, including quality, scalability, and performance standards.
  • Assign tasks and oversee the work of team members to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Drive the technical strategy, ensuring the platform meets security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Type II).
  • Build and maintain distributed systems, databases, and storage solutions tailored for handling medical imaging data.
  • Ensure seamless integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and AI/ML providers.
  • Conduct performance optimization and code reviews to ensure the platform’s efficiency and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in healthcare technology, DICOM standards, and AI/ML advancements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing distributed systems and scalable architectures for SaaS platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python and Golang, with hands-on experience in building production-grade applications.
  • Expertise in databases (SQL and NoSQL), storage systems, networking, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with healthcare standards, including DICOM, and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Type II.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including serverless architectures and containerization.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and experience integrating with AI/ML services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, especially for handling sensitive medical data.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and make high-level strategic decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the healthcare or MedTech industry.
  • Knowledge of data de-identification techniques and standards.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes).
